THE KINDERGARTEN

Over the past 30 years, the English Kindergarten of Kotka has grown tremendously and now offers a full-time program, a half-day program, and a preschool program. The school consists of 5 spacious rooms, an art room plus a kitchen.

We offer a play-centered program focusing on language development, and social and emotional skills. A thematic approach is used to guide the learning. Throughout the calendar year, American and Finnish traditions are celebrated. The majority of children at the English Kindergarten of Kotka speak Finnish as their first language but we also have some children who come from international backgrounds.
