PARENTS

Parents have many opportunities to become involved at the Kindergarten. Parents may volunteer to join the Parents Committee, which assists the Kindergarten in a variety of ways. Teachers are available for informal and formal discussions and parents are welcome to visit the school at any time.

The most important role parents play is supporting the mother language, the language that is spoken at home. Parents can best assist in the development of the child's mother language by reading to them, talking to them and expanding on their childs own natural curiosity. Parents can help their child to learn English by displaying a positive attitude toward the language and program. This will increase the child's motivation and confidence.
