THE HALF-DAY PROGRAM

The kindergarten offers a morning program. The morning group meets from 8:30 to 12:30. The approximate schedule is as follows:

8.30	Arrival
8.30 - 9.00	Indoor play
9.00	Opening
9.30 - 10.00	Small group activities
10.00 - 11.00	Outdoor play
11.10	Lunch
11.50	Story and play time
12.30	Home time

THE FULL-TIME PROGRAM

We offer a full-time program in order to meet the needs of all our families. The Kindergarten is now open Monday through Friday from 7:30 until 5:00. These children participate in all of the morning programming, as well as a rest period and free play in the afternoon.

THE PRESCHOOL PROGRAM

Recently, the Finnish Government expanded its school system to include a preschool program for six year old children (Finnish children start school at the age of seven). The curriculum for this program emphasizes readiness for school. At our Kindergarten, the teaching is in English, except for short Finnish lessons that are taught once a week. The preschool program is Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 12:30, but childcare can be provided in the afternoon. The approximate schedule is as follows:
